Project: Gallucci Photography Office + Studio #1 Location: Park Avenue South and 27th Street, New York City

Edward Gallucci, a commercial photographer specializing in tabletop photography, leased a space that was previously occupied by a printer. This gritty industrial space in the photography distict required a renovation that would both bring light into the studio and fulfill the technical needs of Gallucci's specialty. The focal point of the design is its shooting area, with its large cyclorama, a background with a "limitless horizon" effect for tabletop tableaux. A sequence of dedicated areas - entry, reception, office/lounge, dressing room, darkroom, and workbench - are integrated in the layout.
